The Anvil Desk Clamp Lamp clamps to desks up to 6 cm thick and frees the surface with no base. The horizontal LED bar is 45 cm wide and lights a broad area evenly, reducing the shadow a single point source casts over a keyboard.
A touch strip on the bar sets brightness steplessly and shifts color temperature from 2700 K warm to 6000 K cool. The arm articulates at two joints and holds position without drift. Power is a separate adapter into a barrel jack on the clamp.

The wide bar removes keyboard shadows
A normal desk lamp throws a hard shadow off one hand. The 45 cm bar lights the whole keyboard evenly. The warm-to-cool slider is genuinely useful in the evening. Arm holds firm.

Touch strip is sensitive
The brightness strip occasionally changes when I brush it by accident reaching for something. The lamp is otherwise excellent and the clamp is rock solid. The power brick is a bit large.
