No more rust marks
Steel clips always left rust dots on my filed papers near the coast. These brass ones never will. Smooth enough that they do not tear thin sheets.

Soft wire bends
Brass is softer than steel so a clip distorts if you overload it past fifteen sheets. Within reason they are perfect and they look lovely in the jar.
