The Field Water Filter uses a hollow-fiber membrane rated to 0.1 microns, removing bacteria and protozoa. It does not filter viruses; chemical treatment should be added for virus-risk water sources.
The filter connects inline via standard 28 mm bottle threads on both ends. It can be used by squeezing a compatible soft flask or via gravity with a hanging setup. The filter weighs 57 g and is rated for 1000 L before replacement.

Standard tool, works as expected
0.1-micron hollow fiber filters are a proven technology. This one fits standard threads, weighs almost nothing, and flows at a reasonable rate.

Important: does not filter viruses
The listing is clear about this. If you are in a region where waterborne viruses are a concern, use chemical treatment in addition. For backcountry use in most temperate regions it is fine alone.
