The Packable Foldaway Daypack folds into an attached zip pocket the size of a fist, then unfolds into an 18 L bag for day trips and overflow on the way home. It weighs under 200 grams.
The body is 20D ripstop nylon with a water-resistant coating and bar-tacked strap anchors at the stress points. A front zip pocket and two mesh side pockets hold small items and a bottle.
Available in black, coral, and forest. Hand-wash and air-dry; refold along the seams to repack.

Lives in my carry-on
Weighs nothing and folds tiny, so it is always there for a beach day or hauling souvenirs home. The mesh side pocket actually holds a one-liter bottle.

Straps are thin
Fine for a light day but the unpadded straps dig in once you load it heavy. The fabric has held up though, no snags after months of use.
