The Handheld Label Maker prints adhesive labels on thermal tape without ink. It has a full physical keyboard, a one-line LCD that shows the text before printing, and a built-in cutter.
It prints on 12 mm tape in black on white, black on clear, and white on black. The unit runs on six AAA batteries or an optional adapter. Eight fonts and three text sizes are selectable. One starter tape cartridge is included.

Prints clean labels
The text is crisp and the labels stick well to bins and folders. The keyboard is small but usable. I label everything now.

Eats batteries
Six AAA batteries drain faster than I would like with regular use. I bought the adapter, which helped. The print quality itself is good.

Tape is proprietary
You have to buy the matching cartridges, which are not the cheapest. The machine works reliably though, no jams in three months.
