The Settle Reading Floor Lamp stands 148 cm at the pole and carries a swing arm that extends the shade up to 60 cm out over a chair. The conical metal shade directs light downward for reading without lighting the whole room.
The arm swings horizontally on a tensioned joint and the shade tilts at the socket. The base is a flat 24 cm cast-iron disc. A foot switch sits on the 2 m cord. The socket accepts an E26 bulb up to 60 W.

Reaches over the armchair properly
The swing arm puts the light right over my lap without the base being in the way of my feet. The joint holds position and does not creep. Heavy base, no tipping.

Good lamp, the shade runs warm
With a 60 W incandescent the metal shade gets hot to the touch. I switched to an LED and it was fine. Assembly was straightforward.
