The Waxed Cotton Cap is sewn from 8 oz waxed cotton with a stitched curved brim. The wax finish sheds light rain and develops creases with wear. A brass slider on the rear adjusts the band from 55 to 61 cm.
The interior has a cotton sweatband. Available in olive, navy, and dark brown. Re-wax once or twice a year with a standard cotton wax bar.
Spot-clean only with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash.

Stiff at first
The brim holds its shape because the wax is firm out of the box. It loosened up after a couple of weeks. Sheds drizzle fine.

Smells like wax
There is a strong wax smell for the first week or so. It fades. The brass slider works but takes two hands to adjust.
