The Cork Yoga Mat bonds a 1.5 mm cork surface to a 2.5 mm natural rubber base for a total thickness of 4 mm. The cork grip increases as it takes on moisture, so the surface holds firmer during longer sessions than it does dry.
The mat measures 183 x 61 cm and weighs about 2.4 kg. The rubber base is closed-cell and does not absorb sweat. There is no separating film between the layers; the cork is bonded directly to the rubber.
Wipe down with a damp cloth and a little vinegar after use. Roll cork-side out to keep the edges flat. Do not soak or machine wash.

Grip improves once you sweat
Dry it is only okay, but ten minutes in the cork really locks down. No sliding in downward dog anymore. Heavier than my old PVC mat, which I expected.

Edges curl if rolled wrong
If you roll it cork-side in the corners lift for a day. Roll it the other way and it lies flat. Otherwise a solid mat.

Faint rubber smell
The rubber base had a smell for about a week. It aired out eventually but be ready for it. The cork side never smelled.
