The Magnetic Tool Rail holds metal desk tools off the surface and within reach. It is a 40 cm anodized aluminum bar with a strong magnetic strip set behind the face, holding scissors, craft knives, rulers, and other steel items.
It mounts to the wall with two screws, supplied, or with the included adhesive pads for lighter loads. The magnet holds through a thin coating so tools do not scratch the bar. Combined hold is about 2 kg.

Frees up desk space
My scissors and knife now live on the wall instead of cluttering the desk. The magnet is strong and holds them flat. Screwed it into a stud and it is solid.

Adhesive pads are weak
The stick-on pads could not hold my heavier scissors and the bar slid down. Once I used the screws it was fine. Skip the adhesive for anything but light tools.
