The Packable Rain Poncho is cut from 20-denier silicone- and PU-coated ripstop nylon with fully seam-taped seams and a 5000 mm hydrostatic head. It covers the wearer and a daypack at once, with snap sides that can be closed for more coverage or opened for ventilation.
An adjustable hood with a stiffened brim keeps rain off the face. Corner loops let the poncho double as an emergency tarp or lean-to. It stuffs into an attached pocket to roughly 14 x 9 cm. Weight is 230 g; one size covers most adults.

Covers the pack, stays dry
Wore it over a loaded daypack in steady rain for an hour and both stayed dry. The snaps let some wind-driven rain in at the sides. Packs down genuinely small.

Hood brim helps
The stiffened brim keeps rain off my glasses, which most ponchos fail at. It catches wind like a sail in gusts. I used the corner loops once as a quick shelter and it worked.

Long for shorter people
At 168 cm it hangs near my ankles and drags when I crouch. Fine for taller folks. The waterproofing itself has been reliable.
