The Shetland Cardigan is knitted from heathered Shetland wool, a hardy, slightly rustic fiber spun in the Shetland Isles. The body is a plain knit with a five-button front and two patch pockets at the waist. Buttons are dyed leather.
The wool has a dry hand and is more textured than merino. It softens with wear and washing. Available in moss, slate, and rust heather.
Hand-wash cold and dry flat. Expect minor shedding at first.

Proper Shetland
Dry and textured the way Shetland should be, not soft like merino. Warm in cold wind. The leather buttons are nicely finished.

Itchy against bare skin
This is real Shetland wool so it scratches a bit if worn directly. Fine over a shirt. The pockets are a touch shallow.
