The Slicker Grooming Brush has a bed of fine angled stainless wires that lift loose undercoat and tease out small mats without cutting the coat. It suits medium and long-haired dogs and cats.
A button on the back retracts the pins below the pad so the collected fur lifts off in one piece, which makes cleaning the brush quick. The head is set on a slight angle to follow the body.
The handle is rubberized for a secure grip. Use light pressure; the fine wires only need to skim the coat.

Pulls out the undercoat
My collie blows her coat twice a year and this lifts handfuls of loose fluff. The retract button clears the brush in one swipe.

Wires are sharp
Effective, but the wire tips can scratch skin if you press too hard, and my dog flinched once. Light strokes only. Cleans up easily.
