The Vellum Fabric Lantern is a 30 cm tall cylinder of pleated off-white linen over a wire frame. The pleats run vertically and break the light into soft vertical bands. It is sized for a dining table or an entry.
The frame collapses for shipping and clips open in place. The cord is 110 cm and fits a standard canopy. A diffuser disc at the base softens the downward light and hides the bulb from view below. The socket accepts an E26 bulb up to 40 W.

The pleats look better lit
Off when it just looks like a plain drum. On, the vertical pleats show and it is quite handsome. The bottom diffuser means you do not stare into the bulb at the table.

Clip frame took a moment
Getting the wire frame to seat into all the clips evenly took a few tries so the cylinder hangs round rather than oval. Once set it is fine. Linen is a true off-white, not stark.
