The A5 Dot-Grid Notebook lies flat from the first page thanks to a sewn binding across sixteen-page signatures. The 90 gsm paper takes fountain-pen ink with minimal feathering and little show-through.
Pages carry a 5 mm dot grid in a pale gray that recedes once you write over it, plus printed page numbers and a blank index at the front. Two ribbon markers and an elastic closure are fitted.
The cover is a soft-touch board with rounded corners. The book holds 192 pages and includes a back pocket for loose notes.

Actually lies flat
Page one to page 192, it stays open without a hand on it. Fountain ink does not bleed on the 90 gsm. The dot grid is faint enough to ignore.

Slight ghosting with wet nibs
A broad wet nib shows faintly on the reverse, though it does not bleed through. Fine for normal writing. The binding is excellent.

Elastic loosened
The closure band stretched out after a few months and no longer holds firmly. The paper and binding are great, so I keep using it open.
