Lacquer Fountain Pen
Item ST-8101
A cartridge-converter fountain pen with a stainless medium nib and lacquered brass body.
Shipping: calculated at delivery
The Lacquer Fountain Pen has a brass barrel and cap finished in several coats of urethane lacquer, polished to a deep gloss. The cap posts on the back of the barrel and closes with a snap, not a screw thread.
It ships with a screw-in piston converter for bottled ink and accepts standard international short and long cartridges. The nib is stamped stainless steel in a medium grind, tuned to start without priming after a day uncapped.
Available in oxblood, ink blue, and black. The pen measures 13.8 cm capped and weighs 32 g with the converter filled.

Starts every time
Left it capped a full week and it wrote on the first stroke. The medium nib lays down a wet, even line. The lacquer has no orange-peel texture on mine.

Heavier than expected
The brass body has real heft, which I like, but posting the cap makes it back-heavy for long sessions. The converter holds a decent fill.

Nib ran dry on cheap paper
On copy paper the medium nib skipped at speed and feathered a little. On the dot-grid notebook it was fine. Know your paper before you judge it.
