Bottled Iron-Gall Ink
Item ST-8108
A 50 ml bottle of fountain-pen-safe iron-gall ink that darkens as it dries.
Shipping: calculated at delivery
Bottled Iron-Gall Ink goes down a blue-black and oxidizes to a deep near-black over a minute on the page. The line is water-resistant once cured, which suits records meant to last.
The formulation is reduced in acidity to stay safe in modern fountain pens, but it should be flushed from a pen with water after a few weeks rather than left to dry inside.
The 50 ml glass bottle has a wide mouth that admits most converters and a step inside the neck to wet the nib when the level runs low.

The shift to black is real
Writes a slate blue and settles into a proper black within a minute. Holds up to a wet thumb the next day. The neck step is a clever touch.

Needs discipline
Lovely color but I would not leave it in a pen I cannot flush easily. Cleaned out fine when I kept up with it. Flow is on the dry side.
