The Enamel Leaf Brooch is stamped from brass with a thin gold plating and filled with green cold enamel in the leaf veins. The brooch measures 45 x 20 mm and fastens with a pin and rolling clasp on the back.
Cold enamel is a resin fill that sits level with the metal edges; it is not fired glass enamel. The plating is decorative and will wear at high points over time.
Wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid solvents that can soften the enamel.

Pretty on a coat
The green enamel is a nice muted tone and the gold edges read warm. The clasp holds firmly through a wool coat. Light to wear.

Plating is thin
It is clearly plated brass, which is fine for the price, but I can see it will rub at the edges in time. The enamel work is neat.
