The Shelf Monitor is a powered two-way studio monitor sold as a single unit. The woofer is a 12 cm woven glass-fiber cone and the tweeter is a 19 mm silk dome. Internal amplification is rated at 36 W for the woofer and 18 W for the tweeter.
Inputs are a balanced XLR and an unbalanced RCA, selectable by a rear switch. A rear-firing bass port extends low-frequency response; the manual recommends at least 20 cm of clearance behind the cabinet. The enclosure is 15 mm MDF with a matte black vinyl wrap.
Front-panel controls include a volume knob and a two-position high-frequency trim for room compensation. The unit ships with a detachable IEC power cable.

Honest near-field sound
Set up two of these on isolation pads about a meter apart. The imaging is precise and the high-frequency trim helped tame my reflective desk. No fan noise, no hiss at idle.

Needs room behind it
The rear port really does need clearance. Pushed against the wall the bass got boomy. Once I pulled it forward it settled down. Worth knowing before you buy.

Sold singly, plan for two
Listing is clear that this is one speaker, but I still nearly ordered one expecting a pair. Buy two if you want stereo. Each unit is well built.
