The Steel Speaker Stands are a pair of floor stands that raise bookshelf speakers to 60 cm, placing typical seated ears near tweeter height. The central column is a hollow steel tube that can be filled with sand or shot to add mass and damping; a removable top cap allows filling.

Each stand has a 20 x 20 cm top plate and a wider base plate. The base accepts threaded carpet spikes for use on carpet or rubber pads for hard floors; both sets are included. A channel inside the column hides speaker cable. The finish is a satin black powder coat.

  • Filled them and they vanished

    Filled the columns with play sand and the stands became dead solid. Knuckle-rap gives a dull thud now instead of a ring. My bookshelf speakers tightened up noticeably.

  • Solid, filling is messy

    Filling with sand is the right move but it is a messy job; do it outside. Top plate is a touch small for my wider speakers but they balance fine with the included pads.
