The Walnut Cutting Board is built from end-grain American black walnut, which is gentler on knife edges than face-grain boards and resists deep cut marks. It measures 40 x 30 cm and is 4 cm thick. Recessed handles are routed into the short sides.
The board ships sealed with food-safe mineral oil and beeswax. Re-oil monthly or when the surface looks dry. Hand-wash and dry upright; do not submerge or put in the dishwasher, as this can warp or crack the wood.

Easy on knives
The end-grain surface closes back up after cutting and barely shows marks. It is heavy enough that it does not slide. Re-oiling once a month keeps it looking good.

Beautiful but heavy
At over 2.5 kg it is not something you move around casually. The grain pattern is striking. Needs the oiling it asks for or it dries out.
