Belt-Drive Turntable
Item SD-3674
A manual belt-drive turntable with a pre-mounted cartridge and a built-in phono stage.
Shipping: calculated at delivery
The Belt-Drive Turntable is a manual two-speed deck for 33 and 45 rpm records. The platter is driven by a rubber belt around an off-board motor pulley to reduce vibration transfer. The plinth is MDF with a walnut veneer top and adjustable rubber feet.
A moving-magnet cartridge is pre-mounted and aligned at the factory; the counterweight and anti-skate are set per the included guide. A switchable internal phono preamp lets the deck connect to a powered speaker or line input directly, or be bypassed for an external phono stage.
The dust cover is removable. Speed is changed by moving the belt between two pulley steps, accessed under the platter.

Set up and playing in twenty minutes
The cartridge came aligned and the counterweight guide was clear. The built-in phono stage let me plug straight into powered speakers. Speed sounds steady to my ear.

Changing speed is manual
To go from 33 to 45 you lift the platter and move the belt by hand. Not a problem but worth knowing if you switch often. Otherwise it is a tidy, quiet deck.

Good first turntable
Bypassed the internal phono stage for an external one later and heard a small improvement. The stock setup is perfectly listenable on its own. Veneer looks clean.
