The Enamel Dutch Oven is cast iron with a sand-colored enamel coating. It holds 5.5 liters and measures 28 cm across. The interior is a matte black enamel suited to searing and long braises. The lid underside has concentric ridges that drip condensation back onto the food.
The lid knob is stainless steel and rated oven-safe to 260 degrees C. The pot works on all cooktops including induction. Hand-wash recommended; the enamel can be scratched by metal utensils, so wood or silicone tools are advised.

Holds heat for hours
I braise short ribs in this and the temperature stays even from the burner to a low oven. The self-basting lid keeps the surface moist. Heavy, as expected.

Worth the weight
At nearly 6 kg it is a two-handed pot. The searing surface is excellent. No chips after regular use.

Enamel marks with metal
I scuffed the interior with a metal spoon early on. My fault, but worth noting. Switched to wooden tools and it has been fine since.
