A vegetable-tanned leather roll with twelve slots for pens and pencils.

The Leather Pencil Roll is cut from a single panel of 2 mm vegetable-tanned leather and stitched into twelve individual slots, so pens do not knock against each other in transit.
It rolls closed and ties with a leather thong wrapped twice around the bundle. A short flap folds over the tops of the slots to keep contents from sliding out when carried upright.
The leather is undyed and develops a patina with handling and light. It holds standard pens, pencils, and most fountain pens up to 15 mm in diameter.

Pens stay put and quiet
Twelve separate slots mean nothing rattles in my bag. The leather is thick and the stitching is even. It is already darkening at the edges.

Slots are snug
Fatter pens are a tight push into the slots, which I prefer over loose, but a thick brush pen barely fits. Leather smell fades after a week.
